What brought you to the U.S?
My first time in the U.S was in February 2017 when i was selected to attend the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Council Meeting in Arizona State University, I later came back to the U.S in October that same year to speak at a fundraising gala for fellowship in New York called the Resolution Project and to attend the Clinton Global Initiative university conference in Boston at the Northeastern University. I figured out during this visit that Brandeis University offered an MA in International Development which was of my interest. I applied for it when i went back to Ghana and I came back in 2018 to Boston for school
How would your friends describe you?
They would say I am ambitious and determined because of my ability to overcome any setbacks that I face. I do whatever it takes to achieve my goals and most of my friends are often inspired by my determination. But hey, they will first say ‘he is a prayer warrior”.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is banku made with peanut butter soup and okro, I eat this about three times a week to the very least. But I also enjoy chicken wings from a chinese restaurant, I eat this once a week.
Can you cook and if yes, what do you enjoy making?
I am not the best at cooking but I make most of my food by myself. My favorite food I enjoyed making was pizza when I used to work in the Brandeis University Dining Hall. What do you do for relaxation?
“I’ll watch a soccer game. I grew up playing soccer in Ghana and I enjoyed our soccer team that was made up of players from my family house. I played as a right winger sometimes, other times as a goalkeeper and also as a center back. My favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo. I love to watch games played by Juventus in the Italian league, Bayern Munchen in the German league and almost every game in the English premier league.
Tell us about your family?
“I am part of a big family in Ghana, my dad had 11 kids and my uncle had 4 kids but we all grew up together as one family. All my family members are currently back in Ghana and I am the only one in the U.S.
Who is your hero or inspiration in the business/entertainment/sports world? My inspiration in the sports world is Cristiano Ronaldo as he works hard on a daily basis to achieve his goals. He teaches me that talent is not enough unless it is coupled with a hardworking spirit. He also teaches me that, in pursuing one's goals, you need to make sacrifices in order to get to the peak of those goals.
